Whale watching is a great year-round adventure when you go to San Clemente. Whale watching happens everyday, and the tour is 2 1/2 hours long. From safe and extremely stable boats, you could have a closer look at the dolphins and whales. Universal Studies serves as a theme park and movie studio.

The Catalina Flyer departs from the Balboa Pavilion in Newport Beach at 9 am daily, returning from the island at 4:30 pm daily. This is one of the most easily accessible ports for residents of Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego County to travel by boat from the mainland to Avalon.
